Hi, thank you for being here.
My background is in the arts, both in being a working artist and as a archival worker for living artists. I completed a Bachelors of Art degree in Art History in 2006, followed by 15 years of working amongst artists and as a records manager. In 2025 I earned a Masters degree in Library Science. In the Fall 2025 I’ve begun my PhD journey towards a doctorate degree in Information Science.
My current professional focus is in digitization and digital curation of archives and community access. My current research interest in traumatic imagery processing for archivists, and the evolution of archivist training and pedagogy. Past research focus in how libraries serve their communities, co-authored peer review publication can be found here.
I love a good system and the chaos of working artists (myself being one) gives me a place to be of service. I believe artist’s who are alive should have a say in how their work is viewed, understood, and accessed in the future.
I’ve completed graduate course study in Information Literacy teaching. I teach through the lens of humanistic theory and philosophy, where I trust the process of individual learning to guide the lessons, and to value the whole being who is seeking information.
I’m a licensed Public Librarian in the state of North Carolina.
As of now, I am only taking on consulting clients for digital audits of their online archival systems.
Personally, I blog and bear my soul in these writings. I’ve done that around 300 times here – my blogs are an intimate look at some of my other past passions, and personal reflections on art, mothering, and being human in a complicated yet gorgeous world.
Can’t wait to hear from you soon.
