Give thanks to your hands

As I write this, I’m using my hands and not truly thinking about how much they’re feeling, sensing, and creating.

When I really step back, I realize: my hands are amazing.

Yet, they often get overused and under nourished.

Can you relate that under nourished feeling to any other part of your life or body right now?

We often use our bodies every day without much thought of all the ways it’s there supporting us – literally.

A few weeks ago, I ran into a friend of mine who is an acupuncturist. As I catching up with her I told her how I was experiencing sleep issues.

She gave me this simple remedy: rub your feet before going to sleep.

Now, in my mind I questioned something so simple to be able to change this big issue I was experiencing. But, I trust her and I trust simplicity.

I decided to give it a go.

And it worked. It’s been about 6 weeks and for the most part, my sleep has improved dramatically.

It’s the simple things that can change us the most. (also, simple doesn’t mean easy).

So beloved, today I give you a practice for your hands, and for you to remember your creativity is yours. It’s literally, and has always been, in your hands.

Video length: 5 minutes. Originally posted in my free support group for mamas.

After you finish this practice tell me, creative one, how do your hands feel?

Use your hands listen.
