I’m not going to sugar coat this: I often feel like I’m falling behind or that I’m not doing great or that I’m my biggest block to living a shinier life.
It’s not easy to feel this way, yet through my years of intimate conversations with women like me, I know I’m not alone.
Today’s studio diary is entitled: you’re doing great. Because I think you are. Truly.
I showed up for this studio diary after a morning of feeling like I have no purpose, I was sick and my eyes were puffy, and I fumbled through a lot of what I was trying to say.
I still showed up.
Now, this is different than pushing through and doing stuff. I’m very against pushing yourself to be productive.
I still showed up because I want you to see my truth. I want to peel back the curtain and show you what it’s really like to make art, and most of all:
what it’s like to be human and committed to working through your blocks
I want you to feel empowered to feel uncomfortable, and not try to change it, and then make something from it.
Take a look at my studio diary here at the video (approximately 15 mins)
Tell me, on a scale of 1-10, how have you listened to yourself today?
