The word archive is used a lot in our modern technology world, like in our email folder–heck we can even archive our facebook profiles!
I love that archive is a widespread term, but when I talk about working with Artists archives, I often get a big ol’ ‘HUH’??? face in return.
So, what does it mean, and what does archive mean for you?
Simply put:
An archive is a central place that stores information of one topic.
Pretty cool idea, right? Under that definition, that is how the Library of Congress gets to hold archives, as well as your email inbox.
To bring it to you:
I help artists get clear about what goes, what stays, and how to organize all of their archival information in one central place.
